MiCA Crypto Alliance Launches in Paris with Exclusive Inaugural Event
The MiCA Crypto Alliance, an initiative helping to shape MiCA compliance and support sustainable blockchain innovation, made its debut in Paris, marking an important milestone for the future of crypto regulation and collaboration across Europe.
Hosted at the Ritz during Paris Blockchain Week, the event brought together leading policy experts and industry voices, all offering fresh perspectives on the evolving regulatory landscape and the role of blockchain technology in shaping the future of finance.
The day opened with remarks from Prof. Nikhil Vadgama, Co-Founder of Exponential Science, the technical partner of the MiCA Crypto Alliance. Prof. Vagdama set the tone by underscoring the importance of collaboration and clarity in navigating crypto regulation, framing the discussions to come.
A standout moment of the event was the fireside discussion "Tokenization & MiCA: Compliance in Practice," featuring Eric Piscini, CEO of Hashgraph, in conversation with Prof. Paolo Tasca, Chairman & CEO of Exponential Science. Together, they explored how tokenization is already being applied in the real world and why aligning innovation with regulation is essential for the industry’s sustainable growth.

Building on this momentum, Juan Ignacio Ibañez, General Secretary of the MiCA Crypto Alliance, delivered a keynote that outlined the Alliance’s mission: to support the implementation of MiCA and champion responsible innovation across the European crypto ecosystem. Ibañez reinforced the Alliance’s commitment to being a proactive force in shaping the future of digital finance in Europe.

The official programme concluded with the panel "MiCA Policy Perspectives: Industry and Regulatory Insight," which brought together a powerhouse lineup of voices from across the ecosystem. Isadora Arredondo, Global Policy Director at Hedera; Alireza Siadat, Head of Blockchain & DLT at Deloitte; Emelie Moritz, CEO of Safello; and Alexandra Lloyd LL.M, Head of AML at YouHodler, shared their insights, with Magnus Jones, Board Member of the Nordic Blockchain Association, moderating the discussion. Together, they unpacked the real-world impact of MiCA regulation, balancing the needs of industry leaders and policymakers alike

The turnout alone, over 100 people gathered at the Ritz , spoke volumes about the relevance of MiCA today. With uncertainty still hanging over the regulation and key deadlines fast approaching, it’s clear that the industry is hungry for clarity and guidance. As part of the official Paris Blockchain Week agenda, the event captured this growing momentum around regulation and policy, proving that MiCA is front of mind for builders, policymakers, and innovators alike.
The day wrapped up with two hours of networking over light refreshments and wine, giving attendees the chance to connect and continue the conversation in a more informal setting. But this was more than just a successful launch event — it marked the beginning of the Alliance’s mission to help navigate the path forward. In the months ahead, the MiCA Crypto Alliance will continue working to bring clarity to the ecosystem, support implementation, and ensure that responsible innovation thrives across Europe.
